“I received the book written by Patricia Masters regarding Mary Foster's Life, a native Hawaiian who advocated for the spread of Buddhism and restoring Buddhist historic sacred site of Maha Bodhi temple of India, Bodh Gaya with the Sri Lankan national hero advocate, Sri Angarika Dharmapala from the Buddhist Study Centre. Hoshina Seki is the lady president who is sincere and kind and I am so happy to have met her. With her compassionate words and encouragement I am so inspired to be a good person. I enjoyed reading the book about Mary Fosters and is nice to hear about the Hawaiian cultures and early history. Leaves of My Heart by Lady Kujo and I am going to get one of it when published and I am amazed by her wisdom and compassion including her contribution to her dedicated social work. I have read some extract of her essays and can't wait to read all of those essays. It is such a lovely way to learn Buddhism.”

As opposed to bigger more prominent named bookstores this one has rarer more elusive titles. Some authors I’ve come across that I feel worth mentioning as I’m 100 books from reading 1,000 total books in my lifetime are: Simone De Beauvoir, Thomas Pynchon, Patti Smith (Punk singer), Mieko Kawakami, Sojourner Truth etc, as mentioned earlier you’ll not find such an array of manifold authors in more prominent bookshelves- Their Penguin Books Great Ideas shelf is a great value for one’s dollar and the tomes are a quick or acute read however one wishes to process the work. My kids are all grown but we all still love gathering Yorktown and the bookstore is a central location for us to meet because it's the one place we know that we will all want to go before leaving to go home. The assortment and the changing inventory keeps us coming back. We have some treasures that we have found there and the prices are very reasonable, which we didn't expect considering its location. “I bought some KN95 masks from this Hudson News in Terminal 4 for $5 each. There's a markup, but not a big one. You can buy them in bulk on Amazon for about $3 each, so I'd say $5 for a single item, at an airport, isn't bad. That's also less than the vending machines in the terminal--they sell them for $7 each. The masks are great. They form a tight seal and have a metal nose bridge piece. They are warm, but very easy to breathe through pressure-wise. I assume they're effective.”
