“I’ve been there twice with a large group of people. The owner gave us a lot of wood needed for a campfire to last the whole night. I enjoyed the open grass area, volleyball court and the creek was beautiful. We were allowed to light up fireworks the whole night. There is poor cell phone reception,, don’t even think about staying connected,,so stay home bc that’s not camping. Going down river was a great experience. The staff was very informative and advised us of all safety precautions. Life jackets were available in all sizes. There are stores with Amenities and souvenirs just 2 min away. And there are a few restaurants in close proximity to your tasting. Looking to come back in near future.”

“This place is a Disneyland for kids fighting cancer. It's another home away from home. With warm & devoted volunteers (yes, everyone in this camp is a volunteer) every kids gets treated with heartwarming devotion, just like a father to his son. The unimaginable becomes imaginable, the impossible becomes possible, the unexpected becomes expected, and each kid will never forget his experience in Camp Simcha.”

“Always a relaxing time when my family and I go. We take a week long mini vacation there for the past 3 years. Always clean and the rangers for the most part are very nice. You do get a few who don't have a people person attitude but those few you just have to smile and still be nice.”

“Man I was in Troop 97 from Leonardo/ Atlantis Highlands NJ. Had a great time there in the summer in the early 70s. We did a winter camp and it was 18 below with 3 foot of ice on the lake and about that much snow and here we are in a tent, with straw and newspapers as a floor with a tarp over that. We would throw bricks in the fire and pull them out to put in our sleeping bags by our feet. I only went that one time in the winter. A few of us ended up in the lodge after midnight with a bunch of other scouts laying on tables around the huge fire place and I had good boots where some just had converses on there feet...What a blast...Now I live in Austin Tx”

“Had an absolutely wonderful time here relaxing and enjoining the outdoors... The camp ground is really peaceful... our site was # 84 . The staff is limited but friendly and helpful.....the grounds are kept in a natural state. HOWEVER..... the restrooms/showers are horrendous... they didn’t seem to get used by other campers much and they still were dirty. It doesn’t seem like much effort is put into maintaining a clean or updated bathroom facility or game room. ** But this definitely Will Not stop me from coming back because it’s such a laid back and peaceful place.. My suggestion is to prepare for a more primitive camping experience when it comes to showering and using the bathroom...there is running water on all the sites... just make sure to run it a bit before using due to the sulfur smell(well water). A camping shower & camping toilet highly recommended if you’re tent camping.Other than that.... prepare to have a lovely time in here.”

“I went to this camp in the early 60's every summer. Braeside is where I learned to swim, fellowship with others, was my first experience sitting around a camp-fire listening to stories, learning new songs and having the time of my life. I will always cherish my camp memories and the opportunity to be in such a wonderful place.”

“Very pleasant campground, beautiful area, really nice by the river. We stayed one night, tent camping. The site was roomy enough, but the neighbors were all partying till late. Granted it was a holiday weekend, but still didn't make it easy to get to sleep early. Main bathroom where the showers are was nice and clean. The bathroom by the tent sites needed some serious updates, but to be fair the toilets, urinals and sinks were very clean. We will be coming back to camp there again .”

“The place at the pond is beautiful. From what I gathered you should check availability for RV sites in advance, but spots for tents are mostly available. Big shoutout to Jim for taking care of us when we got there in the evening and left the following morning. If he reads this, best regards from the 2 German Cadets and thank you again!”

“This was an awesome park. We where here touring all of the Jehovah's Witness facilities. Close to many of them. The park has huge lots. We have a 40 foot with 4 pop outs and still plenty of room on the side. Their laundry room is immaculate and the staff are so welcoming. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Happy travels everyone!”
