“What a fantastic place! So full of history, knowledge and inspiration! Very good place to bring your family. I visited there Oct 2018. And the gift shop is HUGE! Very good selection and something for everyone. You will want to allow time to see it all. Seeing the tank outfront is something the kids will love. The "Army mule" statue is right across the street. Very interesting learning!”

“A very great place for families or someone interested in aviation. One very notable part of the experience was the in depth view of long island's part in world war 2. Also located with in the museum is a wonderful flight simulator for those who would love to try their hand at attempting to flying a plane. All in all a great place and knowledgable staff very friendly and willing to explain anything and everything.”

“A great piece of history tucked away in Peekskill. It may not look like much from the outside, but you are in for a treat once you enter inside. A veritable treasure trove of Lincoln and Lincoln era artifacts await you. Worth a visit.”

“There's not much to see here, so don't go out of your way. But it's really cool history, supposedly the inspiration for Frank L. Baum to create the yellow brick road in the Wizard of Oz book.”

“It was once written in the Monroe Gazette on April 4 1968, "whether the name "Rest Haven" will have future significance, or simply become a part of Monroe's history, is the question" to be answered. Well, on March 23 2017, this question will be answered. Rest Haven's long awaited recognition to her contribution to society as an Adult Home Residence for the Blind, Disabled and etc will become the next milestone as an historical site in Monroe New York. ”

“A little hidden gem that's great for a relaxed visit. The interpretive center is very informative and well laid out. The staff is knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. The house tour was just the right length. I hadn't been there in many years despite having grown up in the area and it was very pleasant and we spent about 2 hours there at an enjoyable pace.”

“Showed up on the 241st Anniversary and there was plenty going on! So glad that they are doing such a great job with preserving this history for future generations. A great time was had, images were captured and my only disappointment was the fact they had NO t-shirts and the gift shop didn't have as much personalized for this individual site.”

“The home of AA Co founder Bill W. A suggested $10 donation to get a tour of the site, and get a first hand look at where some of the AA books were written. The AA twelve & twelve, and Coming of Age book were written here. Bring your own lunch. Picnic tables are available. Gift store as well. Souvenirs are a bit pricey. $12 & up.”
