“Took our local cub scouts for a hike here to meet some of their badge requirements. Staff was extremely helpful and excellent with the kids. Before the hike, they explained certain nature related terms and showed them some animals (ei. Box turtle, rabbit, dove) that really got the kids excited. Great place!”

“Very great to explore. There's a little camping area (I think you might need to reserve?). There's trails that lead to Mamaroneck near the French American School, Scarsdale near the Saxon Woods golf course, it overlooks the Hutch, and it leads to Harrison's Mamaroneck Avenue office buildings. I recommend exploring in Fall when there's less bugs. You can go in summer if you keep running though so the bugs can't catch you. They might fly in your nose though. I do not recommend the bugs in your nose.”

“Just wow! The museum is located on the grounds of the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York. The building is a beautiful converted older home. It isn’t the Smithsonian, for sure, but it probably doesn’t enjoy that kind of funding either. We enjoyed seeing the ship models and learning more about how important the Merchant Marine is in both peacetime and war. I really had no idea before visiting the museum how weapons, tanks, and such are transported overseas. I also learned about the midshipmen (students) from the Academy who lost their lives during WW II, and that they were the only students from any federal service academy to serve during that war. Highly recommend.”

“It was my first time here even though I've been living here for the past 10 years. My children were so happy and enjoyed so much. The food here was so good. It is hard to resist once you get the smell of it.. There were a lot of rides, games, icecream trucks where my friend was working.... it was just a wonderful day. I love Staten Island.????????????”

“Sadly the art walls compound was locked up on the afternoon that I went to Coney Island but by wandering around I was able to see most of them and get decent images of a few of them. The walls seem to have different hours to everything else. The person I travelled with was surprised to see them shut.”

“I've been to this place twice before.. went again today with my mom and my kids. Such a beautiful, calm and peaceful place. There was a group doing yoga there. Some people were fishing. The view is awesome.”

“This place was so cute and quaint and the staff were really warm and helpful. It's a very small museum that takes no longer than 30 mins to walk through, but I def think it was worth it.”

“The Visitor Center is the best way to start your visit to Fort Wadsworth. There is a museum which provides a great overview of the historic military base and fortifications and there are park rangers on staff who can point out all the best things to see in the park. Definitely worth your time. - Be advised: this visitor center is open seasonally (spring, summer, and fall) and is usually closed in the winter. Call ahead!”

“This museum is mainly composed of just models of ships. Some of them were interesting but they are all static displays. It would help if there were some more information that laid out exactly the history of the various ships and the maritime industry.”

“Possibly the most well-tended gravesite in the cemetery, it's obvious to see the love, appreciation, and caring from fans with this fully lansdcaped garden and the deepest green grass making me think the grass really is greener on the other side.”
