“The crew that came did a wonderful job closing in my screen porch and making it into a beautiful sun room. Now I just have to clean up the inside porch so it looks as nice as the outside does. The guys were very professional and even cleaned up their trash and hauled it away. This is the2 nd job this company has done for me and I definitely recommend them!”

“This CHURCH….We were invited repeatedly by a coworker of my husband. I needed a church home that was bible centered, cerebrally stimulating and lovingly inclusive with excellent role models for my 4 children. We finally attended a Sunday morning service. We were absolutely astounded to find all of those attributes in a balanced, easily understood presentation of God’s love and principles by the pastor. Dr. Morris, a “county boy” from the mountains of NC with a thirst for education resulting in both Masters and PhD is the pastor. Still, he is the most practical teacher of biblical challenges, encouraging us to learn and grow in our relationship both with God and Jesus, and our sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Dr. Morris translates this into our modern daily life so you understand well how God’s word is our ultimate source for living. We began attending regularly and were welcomed by the wonderful church family, acceptabling of the responsibilities to support, pray for and love each other as God’s word commands us. I have seen repeatedly how they graciously welcome anyone. I am so thankful for a church, pastors and Sunday school teachers that exalt God. Thankful for a congregation lead by an exceptionally talented music and praise ministry leading us to worship God as He so richly deserves. Yes, I and my family are so blessed, strengthened and challenged by making this our church home.”

“I look forward to going in for my baby's check-ups because Dr. Boylston is a delightful doctor and very helpful. She is friendly, energetic, and she both asks questions and listens to questions patiently without making you feel rushed. Some doctors only ask you their "doctor" questions to tick their boxes then rush away. Some just come in the room and then leave it all up to you to ask them questions, but you may not know what to ask. She is great at doing both so you really feel like you have covered all the bases when you leave, and you can tell your child is important to her as a patient. :)”

“It is an older diner. Some people have complained about the brick and blinds. Well it is true they could use a bit of cleaning and some refreshing I wouldn’t let that detract from the institution. I was treated well immediately and greeted with a smile. There was a steady stream of clientele. Conversations in here were reminiscent of any local hangout where everyone seems to know everyone. The food came out promptly. Fries were hot and fresh and krinkly. The burger was delightful. The ice in the drink was the really awesome small crunchy kind. All in all, I would find myself back at this restaurant.”

“My son was in preschool at Children's House a few years ago - around the same time the child from the last post was a student. I felt like I needed to comment because my son also had a difficult time calming his body during rest time, and I'm so appreciative of the extra time and attention Miss. Virginia gave him as he worked to master this important skill. No child was required to sleep, only to calm their bodies and minds. Miss. Virginia would play soft music and sit at the teacher table where she would do quiet work during rest time. She would position my son next to where she sat and often rubbed his back while he rested and looked through books. He enjoyed snuggling against her legs and I appreciate that Miss. Virginia, like every other teacher at Children's House, addressed the individual needs of my child while using age-appropriated methods to transition him from napping to "rest time." She helped him learn to calm his body and mind, and also taught him to respect his classmates' needs for a calm, quiet and safe space to rest. Miss. Virginia established Children's House Montessori in 1993 and I am so grateful that her daughter Grace chose to take on the work of providing a warm and nurturing learning environment built on the principles of Maria Montessori. Children's House requires (and pays for) their staff to complete ongoing training and continuing education in Montessori methods and principles - it is one of the main reasons we chose the school for our kids. Online reviews are powerful, yet the only gatekeeper to publishing is the commenter's own moral compass. I strongly recommend the last commenter spend time learning about Montessori methods to avoid making untrue and unfounded accusations regarding the education Children's House provides. The website for the American Montessori Society is a good place to start. The early childhood education industry faced enormous challenges due to Covid and nearly 16,000 US childcare centers have closed in the last two years. The management and staff at Children's House worked tirelessly to stay open throughout the pandemic. They worked with families facing financial hardship to ensure continuation of care, even when it must have seemed impossible to stay viable themselves. The classroom teachers and staff put their own health and wellness at risk every single day so they could be there for the kids and families who needed them. Thank you Miss Virginia, Miss Grace and the entire Children's House community for showing up and being there for the kids in your care. Please do not let an individual commenter make you question the quality of care you provide or the good you are doing for this community. You are appreciated.”
