Elon Dog Park - K-9 Corner at Schmidt Park

Great place for pups to hang and meet friends. We were traveling through the area and wanted our pooch to get some exercise. Meet some real friendly people while there.

Great place to play with the kids, dog, or just enjoy a walk on the well maintained trails. Beautiful gazebos, Bridges and historic scenery are abound, also featuring candy canes and multitude of lights for the season theses days.

It is a nice park. Like all dog parks it's hit or miss whether anyone is there and if the dogs are friendly. The active and leisure areas are separated which is nice. I wish there was a good way to schedule a meet up for dogs of different energy levels.

I frequent all the dog parks in my region and this is one of my favorites. The trees provide more shade than most and there is ample seating for the owners. The people and their dogs are generally welcoming and friendly. The only real negative is that, because of the wonderful shade trees, it can stay muddy a few days after a hard rain. I also wish there were more dogs sometimes. Still, this is nice place to exercise your dog and make new friends.
