“Recently was on the market for a cheap tv for my room, and went to pawn way #5. Got a tv for 36 dollars during the tax sales. Expected what I was paying for but got so much more. Tv has amazing quality, no scratches on the screen, every plug and connection works, and it was clean when I got it. Awesome!”

“The guys here are amazing!!!! Super nice and friendly! They always look out for me to keep my car safe and maintained. I will never go anywhere else! I have 4 kids so finding a skilled shop that doesnt try to take advantage of me as a woman who usually comes in without her husband is important to me. This shop is affordable, fast, and always fixes my issue the first time. I definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.”

“This establishment opened a place pre Covid that was going to be their catering spot near Thomasville. I loved it and frequented them alot. They did their Italian dishes but not pizza. They offered take and bake. Then COVID hit and I guess it messed up their plans and they closed down. Finally found myself in Lexington and decided to check them out. Wow what a selection of slices. I have not seen options like that since my New York City trips. There must have been 20 different pies. I went with the two slice and drink special. Got their white and a stuffed pizza. Enjoyed them.”

“We have been looking for good barbecue since we moved back to the Piedmont from the NC Coast which is the land of Eastern NC Barbecue and a number of wonderful barbecue places. While Smiley's is not Eastern NC barbecue, it is moist with a wonderful smokey flavor. It is moist without being wet and the sauce or dip as they call it has no ketchup in it thankfully. I have eaten at most of the barbecue restaurants on the NC Barbecue Trail. Smiley's is as good or better than many of them. I think it is better than some of the famous ones. The place does not look like much from the outside but inside it is very clean and well maintained with a high sanitation rating The service is excellent and we felt like members of the family by the time we left. I had the chopped plate. I brought home half of it. The peppery slaw is very good as are the fries and the fried okra. The hot-from-the-fryer hush puppies were great. We will be going back and hauling some home to serve to friends. I am pleased Smiley's is only 25 minutes from my house. If you take the time to look, you will see the pile of wood by their smoker. I was also pleased to see they serve Pepsi products with their barbecue which is as it should be in North Carolina.”

“One of my favorite local resorts, hard to believe this gorgeous place is in the middle of Rancho Bernardo's residential area on a beautiful golf course. Even for a Monday night the place was busy, and as golfers came in at the end of the afternoon, the outdoor restaurant area filled up. Live music was playing and the service was great. I also have a spa only saltwater pool as well as a family pool in the main area. We are locals but decided to stay for a fun one night staycation. I have been plenty of times before for the spa, for dinners and lunches, as well as a few company Christmas parties during the holiday season. During the holidays it's also decorated beautifully with Christmas trees, rolling fireplaces and strong lights. Love staying here!”
