I recently participated in Cheryl's Yoga, Reiki and Relaxation Workshop. Cheryl is very experienced and the workshop was so relaxing. I'd attend again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Cheryl.
Cheryl Fenner Brown has been my irreplaceable yoga teacher for the last 7 seven years. Her breadth and depth of knowledge of multiple traditions of yoga combined with her sensitivity to the limits and pecularities of each unique body (especially aging ones!) make her a gifted teacher. She has helped me immensely.
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and was delighted to find Cheryl's gentle yoga class nearby. What makes Cheryl's class stand out from other yoga classes is her honesty and straightforwardness. She is a real woman in the real world and therefore teaches a real, useful, everyday form of yoga therapy. That said, Cheryl has incredible wisdom and insight at her fingertips. She weaves in her encyclopedic knowledge of the human condition and pathology while implementing traditional yogic approaches such as chanting, mudras, and mantra. What's fascinating is that she bridges this gap between ancient and modern approaches and presents a healing and positive experience.
As a new yoga teacher searching the web for guidance on sequencing and teaching I came across Cheryl's website and was immediately impressed! The range and depth of information available is impressive and very helpful. Of particular interest to me -
- mudra collection/information, which inspired me to learn more about mudras and use them in my practice.
- home practice sequences - combining pranayama, mudras, asana , and other yoga practices with an intention. Wonderful practices and a great window into how to organize a practice around a particular theme.
-Chakra Information; deepened my understanding of the chakras and how to work with them in a practice.
I could go on! I've come back to her site many, many times (it's one of the few I visit repeatedly) and would encourage anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge and practice to visit her website.
