My grandparents were members at Layman's Chapel until their death. My dad was called to preach as a result of this ministry and I have been influenced greatly as a result of this local church. Thankful for Pastor Byrd and his stand for the truth!

I've been affiliated with this church for over 30 years. The current pastor, Terry Byrd, is a solid man of God that preaches the truth in love. The word of God has precedence over all and the exaltation of Christ is first and foremost. My wife and I were married in this church and we raised our children under the ministry of this local assembly and the under-shepherd of Pastor Byrd. I surrendered in 2009 to the call of God into the ministry and in 2013 stepped away from Layman's Chapel at the leading of God to pastor a church in Hillsborough. I love pastor and Mrs. Byrd! They are the real deal and are as faithful as you will ever see in a servant of Jesus Christ! We have many friends still at Layman's and stay in contact with them. Pastor Byrd is only the third pastor since 1964, a testimony to the faithfulness of this local New Testament church in this community.
