Bicentennial Greenway at Gibson Park has hillside inclines to varying degrees. Good for walking/jogging/biking. Every time I go there, I see something new and interesting.
5 stars for the trails especially for trail runners or easy hikes. On weekdays its empty and I don't feel comfortable leaving my car in the parking lot. Not sure what they can do about it but parking area is small and scattered making it vulnerable for car thefts
Great park for littles and for trail enthusiasts. The play structure is decently sized and close enough to the tree line for a good amount of shade. The soccer fields are always well maintained and manicured, as well as the rest of the general areas.
Took our four-legged furry friend on a sniffari today at Gibson Park. Beautiful rec area with playgrounds, baseball, and soccer fields. Public restrooms are always clean. You can catch the staff there always being friendly and knowledgeable. It's backed right up the Greenway so you can park and enjoy a nice walk.
Gibson Park offers a variety of trails as well as a connection to the Bicentennial Greenway. I hiked the Twin ponds trail and enjoyed the water views and short trail.
One downside is the noise and shouts from the on-site recreational fields can be heard from the ponds trails…but it’s still a pleasant experience. I’ve also done the Rifle Trail connected up with parts of the greenway, which I recommend for a longer hike.
Although not particularly unique, Gibson is well-kept and great for enjoying the woods.
