“My son found this gem when I asked him to find somewhere to eat. He didn't look at the menu - just the reviews. I checked the reviews and said we need to try it. Glad we did. The food was delicious. I had the smothered pork chops and mac & cheese which was amazing - simple and tasty. The Gumbo, Hush puppies and Lemonade are the best I've ever had so far. The chef/owner is Ms Irene and will be 91 years old in September! She's been taking orders, cooking from scratch and serving there for 57 years! She is sharp as a tack and very humble as is her daughter Ms. Felicia helps her out and they are both great, kind and lively individuals. Will be going back again, and again and again as I hear she cooks many different dishes that are typical of southern home style cooking. All prepared from scratch with the delicious seasoning and love put into every meal.”

The food was excellent, and the waitress was attentive and friendly. We order two Ribeyes with Caesar salads and sauteed mushrooms. The steaks were grilled as ordered to perfection. “They did a fantastic job painting the exterior of our house. They came out to do a free quote and answered all of my questions. They painted the entire exterior and re-stained our front and back decks, including the railings. During the process we told them we needed new gutters and they were able to help us with that as well and had them installed at the same time. They were so polite and worked quickly. Even with two massive rainstorms they finished our house in about 4 days. After they were finished they had us check over the entire house and we were able to point out areas we wanted them to retouch. We were so pleased with the service and would absolutely recommend them.”
