I am always so thankful that even in our infancy as a country we can still places as special as this. Having a tour here just rejuvenates my love and appreciation of the area. Please donate to your local landmarks. High five highly recommended!

If you are new to the Charlotte/LKN Norman area or a 5th generation "native" this is one place you MUST visit. The docent was so informative and interesting. The Torance family lived on the property for 6 generations. It is a 1779 log cabin with a 1805 addition. How much do you know about the families that settled here in the 1700s and began creating a community that became Mecklenburg Cty?

Really cool place to visit! Feels like you step back in time! After driving past many times we wanted to stop in and see what it was! A lot of history and cool information on the area here!! They have unique hours so just make sure they are open when you go!
