“Christa is absolutely amazing! Her practice space is calming and she made me feel so safe and cared for during our time together. She is incredibly knowledgeable about caring for your body during pregnancy and while trying to conceive and made my first experience with acupuncture lovely. I left our appointment feeling well rested and calm. 10/10 recommend!”

“This place is amazing. Both of our kids went here for multiple years. They do communication, nap times, photos, check in/out all through an app, giving you peace of mind throughout the day. Can't say enough good things about the teachers and different activities the kids get to do throughout the year.”

“Denise is an educator and a healer. Her passion for you to be healed and happy is the most inspiring thing about her. Visiting her was a game changer for me!”

“We LOVE this school. It is a small carefully run gem that is in its 5th or so year of operation. The classes are small and the teachers are enormously caring. All of my children have enjoyed this school much more than the charter and Montessori schools we tried first. I would HIGHLY recommend Hillsborough Christian Academy if you're interested in your children growing in their character in addition to their academic life. (We also have a child who has been slow to read and they have a reading specialist who pulls him out of class for extra attention!)”

“We have had two children attend this school, one is an alumni of just a few years, the other a rising 1st grader. Living on the outskirts of Chapel Hill, it is quite far to drive, but definitely worth the time and effort to get there. For some reason, Chapel Hill City Schools have such a "gleaming" reputation of high standards and quality educators. No doubt they host a good program, but I can't see how it could get any better than the Orange County school system. Grady Brown is a hidden treasure in Hillsborough. Don't let the age of the building discourage you. The staff and educators are highly motivated, loving people dedicated to their careers in public education. It doesn't get any better than our current kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Anna Moore. Just last week the kids had field day. We bought new water shoes for our child for this event. After an hour of being at school, she developed blisters. Mrs. Moore literally took the socks off of her own feet and put them on my daughter's feet to help with the blisters! Her love and dedication to all of her children is amazing! We are not concerned about our little one transitioning to 1st grade because of this amazing teacher. And with every superhero comes a partner- Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Moore's assistant, did an AMAZING job helping with the kids! My child can read and do the math of a child two grades ahead of her learning level thanks to Mrs. Webb's daily efforts and one-on-one work with each of the kids! She is Grady Brown's unsung hero! Other notable teachers included Mrs. Shanklin (lovingly known as, "the shank-a-lank!") and coach Byerly. They both have dedicated their lives to making children feel safe, loved, and special. Even the receptionist/admin. at the front entrance, Linda Rosemond. She may be the most unappreciated staff member there! I wasn't sure about her on day 1, but she turned out to be a nice, invaluable centerpiece on the Grady Brown crown! Last shout-out goes to Mrs. Williamson. She is a true leader and mentor to the teachers around her. I remember being afraid of the principal's office, Grady Brown students, even if they did mess-up, don't have to worry about this fear with Mrs. Williamson! Mrs. Williamson is the kind of principal that would make you want to shoot a spit-ball just to go to her office for your daily dose of encouragement and inspiration! Bottom line, we have no regrets sending our kids to Grady Brown. Send your kids there with confidence knowing they will be in good, safe, loving hands! Cross your fingers you get Anna Moore if you have a rising kindergartner!”

“Wonderful workshop! The hands-on help and reminders are a whole world away from watching videos online trying to target what your body should be doing (vs what it sometimes does). It’s information and practical tips that can be carried into every day living, for life. Thanks Larissa! ❤️”

“If you are looking for a wonderful preschool in Hillsborough this is the one! Both of my children have attended Master's Garden since they were 1 years old. My oldest is now in Kindergarten and my youngest is still attending Master's Garden. This is a church based preschool that not only prepares your kids for school, but also teaches them the word of God. All the teachers my children have had were all fabulous. When my oldest son started Kindergarten his teacher commented on how his daycare really prepared him for school. Another positive is the cost compared to other preschools around. I think they are very reasonably priced. I really can't think of one negative thing I would say about this wonderful place.”

“I love this school.. The coop is the only good in it. It's high quality (the coop not the school lol no schools are high quality), and the chickens don't peck your head into a nub like chickens usually do. If only they had turtles in the coop as well.. Ohh I would suggest adding a 10 star rating. Turtle coop 10/10. Um yeah I'm done now. Kthxbai.”

“I feel so lucky that my daughter was able to attend Acorn to Oak Preschool for the last 3+ years. The school is in a rural setting which allows the kids to play outside and discover nature. The environment that the teacher creates is a loving and nurturing space that encourages the children to engage their curiosity, build social skills and confidence. My daughter thrived in the loving environment and I am confident that the skills she learned here will carry with her into kindergarten and beyond. I can not more highly recommend this school.”
