“Those who have read my critique's know I use public transit a lot. The OPT(Orange County Public Transit) system is one of my favorites. For the time being it is a limited service, but they are working on increasing their capabilities. They offer a local service to Hillsborough, and they offer two commuter services to Chapel Hill, and Mebane. The commuter services are called Connectors. For the two years I have used OPT; they have proven to be dependable, friendly, knowledgeable, safe, and now I can add honest. On 5/21/19, I left some valuable items lying on the seat of the Chapel Hill connector. The driver, Ms Valinda Lucas, found those valuables and turned them in. I am forever grateful. The drivers are the ambassadors too OPT. My advice, for those who don't drive, call the OPT facility, learn the routes. You might be amazed.”

“People should hear about good policemen as well as the troubled ones. I had a very nice interaction with Officer Hall earlier. He was very polite and we had a fun little talk about tomatoes. We don't go into the twon of Hillsborough much, but I think we might try to visit more. And we'll drive safely! Thank you for your kindness. I wish more officers behaved that way!!”

Overall the church is a traditional and conservative Pentecostal church with strong roots in the Holiness tradition. One of the outstanding points of the Church of God is the commitment to sound doctrine expressed in its Declaration of Faith which lists the core beliefs of the church and is a very accurate representation of the key beliefs of the Holy Bible. This congregation has had a church in the Hillsborough, NC area for over 75 years and now occupies its third church building over that long history. Though not large, the church and congregation have a sincere commitment to the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ and a mode of worship that features anointed singing and preaching.”

“Hillsborough is a nice little town not far from Chapel Hill. Lot of history here. Unfortunately there's not much in terms of specialty shops, and its mostly restaurants, with a few that were closed, for what seemed like quite some time. Otherwise the downtown area is small, but clean, with a lot of greenary mixed in which is great on hot days, and there are nice older southern homes, each unique in their own way, making for pleasant walk on the side streets.”
