Gorgeous store with a friendly, talented potter and the friendliest four-legged "sales team" you'll ever come across. My sister bought some pottery here years ago but ended up giving it away as a gift (she's kind and thoughtful like that) so we were thrilled to rediscover the shop so she could treat herself. She found two stunning pieces that will look perfect in her home! Maggie Mae was an attentive salesperson and certainly earned a delicious commission for the sale! Such big feet and so much hair isn't always a great look on a woman but Maggie Mae makes it work!
My daughter & I drove for the first time to Seagrove NC, only 30 minutes from home to the lovely town of Potters. There's something special about the town. There were so many butterflies ! We visited four different Potteries and each one was a special experience. Dirtworks is a delightful place and Dan is a hoot! He has the most beautiful dogs & pottery. He also tells you stories about the Potters who are housing their goods with him. I had a great day.
Another stop on my pottery tour. So much beautiful pottery! We had plenty of time to browse and found some nice pieces. Loved the AC too!
Beautiful pottery, great quality, and affordable pricing. The potter gave us a very informative personal tour of the studio and kilns. He creates a lovely, varied collection in several different color pallettes and firing styles. It is a great place to purchase beautiful, functional pieces of pottery that are dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
This place had an incredible variety of works made by very few locals. I assume they have been around forever. They have many styles of glazes and colors including Raku. It was difficult for me to pick just one item... Many artful objects in several low-budget price ranges (under $20, under $50), as well as superb pieces (of which I wish I could afford) over $200 which were absolutely gorgeous and would cost twice that if you went elsewhere. I didn't plan on visiting this potter, but now can't wait to go back.
