Honestly this place has become one of my favorite places to go to eat here in (west) Portland. Some of our favorite meals over the last year were the squash risotto (last year late summer - seasonal), the steak frites, and the smoked pork sandwich. I recommend this place to practically everyone, highly recommend. I don't think we have had a dish we didn't like.
(The photos probably date back to when we first started coming, approximately late summer 2021)
Great brunch menu and friendly service at RCC, big sheltered patio, one of our favorite brunch go-to restaurants. My hubby had the smoked salmon hash (no potatoes, extra veg), extremely tasty. I had one biscuit and gravy with two eggs scrambled soft with cheese. Let me tell you this is the only restaurant where the chef understands scrambled soft… perfect! The biscuits are light and the gravy is awesome, best in town. Add bottomless mimosas to that and you have the perfect brunch experience! 😁👍
Rock Creek Corner has my favorite pizza in the Portland-Metro area, and I don’t say that lightly!! I got the prosciutto pizza and it was incredible- the charred onions and roasted pear lent a yummy sweetness, and the cheeses, prosciutto and arugula rounded out the za. The pizza was big enough for me to eat dinner, share a slice with a friend, and still have some leftovers. The vibe in the bar was laid back and casual. I will absolutely be back!
Editing my review: this place is a local gem!!! The food was amazing. Super fresh and beating all expectations. I went there for my wife’s birthday in January, and it was way above expectations. I used to come here for the video poker late at night. I have to say the food is amazing. I’d say this is the best food on this side of town. Better than Bethany Kitchen, and others.
If I HAD to be critical, the decor, seating and ambiance leaves something to be desired but the FOOD makes up for anything.
Old review:
The food is average. The Pizza is above average. The bar is great for hanging out or playing pool. Definitely a good place to go for a beer in the neighborhood.
