“The Surry county sheriff's Dept. Is honestly one of the best things about living in this area. Ive needed to relocate for work for years now, but i don't like the way big city law enforcement agencies are desensitized to the individuals in the community. I hate speed trap games and outdated speed limits. They're based on an average taken when vehicles were heavy, with old braking technology, and vehicles weren't as safe. A new car of most any kind can stop in half the distance, and maneuver twice as good as the ones on the road during the speed studies. Surry deputy's don't do speed traps just to shake down the citizens for funding. I think when self driving cars are mainstream, and car insurance companies make it too expensive for people to physically drive their own car, this issue will be over. The deputy's treat everyone with the respect they deserve. They actually help the community. Serve and protect actually rings true here. No ego trips, no brutality, just a good team of men and women with small town values. Great job .....”

“I got a flat which was my own fault because I knew I needed tires but kept putting it off. Of course it happened at the worst possible time. Leaving for my much awaited weekend birthday trip at the Casino, we hadn't made it 20 miles down the highway when my right rear tire completely split and went flat. Luckily I had run flats and was able to get to an exit and into a safe place off the road. I called several very close places asking if they had my size tire, planning to drive there on the runflats if they did. No one did except Parrish, but only at their warehouse. I thought I was out of luck and would need to be towed home because I was afraid that was too far to drive on the runflats, but then they told me they have a Mobile service and they could go to the warehouse, pick up the tires and come to me to change them! I thought that was a fabulous idea but would surely cost me an arm and a leg. NOPE! The Mobile service is an incredibly reasonable $35!!! So I just decided to go ahead and have them change all 4 since I was planning to do it anyway, I'd just been too busy. Now i wouldn't have to make an appt and go back another day. Roughly 2 hours later I had 4 new tires and was on my way ! I might just do the Mobile service next time I need new tires just for the amazing convenience!!”
