We searched for the nearest lodging places coming into North Carolina & Pop & Mom's Campground was a GREAT call. We had been tired, hungry & just needing some shut eye, so we called the given business number & not only did we get thrown off by this owners kindness for letting us park for free but also, we each showeres for free. I truly am happy to leave a kind word for this place, because these people was truly not all about the money but, being kind & understanding by helping their fellow man. “I like the way the store is laid out better than a lot of other stores. It's always very clean and organized looking and unlike other stores there's not a lot of stock clutter in the aisles. The shelves are always fully stocked. I never have to wait for an associate to check me out. They are real nice to me and always ask if they could help me find an item or did I find everything I needed. This is one of Dollar Generals' best stores. I will definitely keep shopping there and even look forward to trading with them again soon.”

“The Surry county sheriff's Dept. Is honestly one of the best things about living in this area. Ive needed to relocate for work for years now, but i don't like the way big city law enforcement agencies are desensitized to the individuals in the community. I hate speed trap games and outdated speed limits. They're based on an average taken when vehicles were heavy, with old braking technology, and vehicles weren't as safe. A new car of most any kind can stop in half the distance, and maneuver twice as good as the ones on the road during the speed studies. Surry deputy's don't do speed traps just to shake down the citizens for funding. I think when self driving cars are mainstream, and car insurance companies make it too expensive for people to physically drive their own car, this issue will be over. The deputy's treat everyone with the respect they deserve. They actually help the community. Serve and protect actually rings true here. No ego trips, no brutality, just a good team of men and women with small town values. Great job .....”

“Loved the area and the Rockford General Store!!! It's a must to stop in for a sandwich or meal!! The cherry Sonker was fabulous!!! The owner is a hoot!! He'll tell you the whole history of the store and the area while you're waiting for your meal!! You can eat outside or in among the antiques!! Great "little" store to spend some time in!! People come from all over to get sandwiches to eat in or to go.... you have to stop in and try them!!!”
