During Florence I evacuated however when my job told me that I was put on notice I HAD to get back home to Wilmington NC The Hemby Bridge Fire Dept was on my side finding the safest route for me to get back home . I have an Autistic 7yr old and the staff here made him feel so comfortable by showing him around the station , giving him bags of goodies and answering ALL his firefighting questions while Mom was instructed on directions to safely get back home ! If I had 10 stars to give the guys it still wouldn’t be enough ! THANK YOU all for your help !”
