(May 13, 2023, 9:15 pm)First rate service, I broke one of the wires in the tonearm of Rega turntable while installing a cartridge. While doing a quick search on the internet for repair information I came across a forum discussing repair methods. One of the forum members referenced britaudio service as a source of quick reliable repair with quick turn around time. I contacted Michael through the email contact on britaudio home page he replied back to me quiclky by email with information on services provided , with prices and shipping information.I packed my tonearm for shipping got it in the post on a Monday morning received a email from Michael on Thursday of the same week letting me know that my repair was complete and the tonearm was on it's way back to me. I received the tonearm Saturday of the same week. I installed the tonearm and immediately noticed the difference in the sound of my Rega turntable. The new cables and tonearm wires made a huge improvement in the sound and the new wire connectors makes installing a cartridge a breeze. Great service, fast shipping, I plan to use his service again in the near future.
(February 3, 2023, 2:56 pm)I have had three tonearms rewired by Michael at Brit Audio. His work is flawless. I had two older tonearms (Rega and Grace) and now they are better than new. He also tackled my high end Pyon Sound Iris ll arm with great success. Michael has also helped me considerably with advice and encouragement with cartridge issues.
(December 22, 2022, 12:43 pm)So I had been in contact with Michael for a while regarding a rewire kit I had ordered on ebay. I was going to do it myself but as it was a classic SME tonearm, I really did not want to screw it up. After mulling it over, I went ahead and sent the kit to Michael to do the labor. The work got done the same week ! He tells you 2-5 day turnaround time and he means it. I got it back within a few days. Total turnaround time for me to send him the arm and to get it back was a little less than two weeks. I was using USPS so you have to allow for shipping time but he basically did the work as soon as he received it.

The external cable on my RB250 tonearm had gotten pinched and damaged. Contacted Michael regarding a basic end-to-end rewire. Since I'm local to the area we arranged for me to drop the arm off with him. The work was done within a day and I am extremely satisfied with the result.
(June 12, 2021, 2:50 pm)I was looking to replace a uni-pivot tonearm with something reliable, easy to install, and would not only sound great but look good as well. I really liked how the Rega IO amp I bought sounded, so I decided to try a Rega tonearm. I really wanted the Cardas wiring, and Michael Wharton was selling both the RB220 and 330. I went with the simpler RB220 and couldn’t be happier with how fast he shipped it to me. Michael returns emails very quickly even on weekends, and was a pleasure to deal with. I will be back for another purchase from him. Why buy from large stereo chain when you can get personalized service from the owner of a small business?! Great job.
