“I went around 4 PM on Tuesday and got dinner for my family. I ordered a large beef with black bean sauce. The beef was tender and I really enjoyed all the vegetables that were included. The vegetables were broccoli, bamboo, shoots, carrots, green peppers, snow, peas, and baby corn. I also ordered the happy family and that was very delicious. I had a small vegetable lo mein, which was great. I also ordered a small, sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was very tender and moist and I really enjoyed the sauce that came on the side. It wasn’t overly sweet, just right. I’ve been reluctant to try this place because of the low star reviews but this place is excellent and I’m so glad I came here to try it. I will definitely be ordering from here again!”

“The food here is absolutely delicious! We got the seafood pasta and pork loin chops with cheese grits and Brussels and a side house salad with the house vinaigrette, 10/10. The pork was so tender and juicy and the grits very flavorful. The Brussels were charred but not burnt. Cute date night style atmosphere and small personable bar. The bartender Joey was very nice and friendly. Michelle the chef/ owner came out to introduce herself and was super kind and informative about recipes she plans to make through the week. I loved it! This is definitely a hit in roxboro for sure!”

“I’m giving them 5 stars. Not because they have exceptional service as most people might think. But because even when they mess up they always make it right. They are human and they have been dealing with staff shortages and other things. I remember I ordered pizza close to the super bowl and after waiting for 2 hours I called the store, the manager and entire staff had walked out and there was one person trying to run the entire store and make all the orders. Instead o canceling all of the orders (which would have been fair considering the circumstances) he was there trying to clean up the mess. I ended up picking up my order instead of having it delivered to make things easier. When they do good they do good but they make mistakes like any other business. The important thing is when they do, they always make it right. I will continue to order from them because of this. I have 5 hungry kids that love them some pizza. We need to remember everyone is human and subject to error. A little kindness goes a long way! Thanks for always doing your best and for making it right when you don’t.”

There are also five-six default options for pizza and they take customized orders of pizza too. Among the default options, there were pepperoni pizza, bell pepper-onion-Italian sausage pizza, Italian sausage pizza, cheese pizza, etc. There were also meatballs, noodles, red sauce, bread sticks, cheese sticks, three dessert pizzas including chocolate pizza, cinnamon pizza, strawberry pizza. Given all these, the price is really low and it's worth while to visit this place once if you are a pizza person and/or a buffet person.”

We sat outside, waiting the ten minutes they told us it was going to take. After about five, these ghastly people parked right in front of us blasting some horrible courtroom drama at max volume. I grabbed my ten year old daughter and sped to our car as fast as we could safely go. A few minutes later, a Marco's employee came out, let us know our order would be ready in just a few minutes. “Let me start by saying that Leslie and her team are AMAZING! Also, I need to beg forgiveness for not sharing this review right after my wedding a year ago. My wedding was a small one so we decided to center it around a coursed meal, prepared at my folks’ home by a personal chef. We chose The Travelling Cafe based on a variety of factors including flavors and menu options, price within our budget, flexibility, and the fact that they were available for our date (we planned a little bit last-minute), and I am so glad we picked them! Leslie and her team went above and beyond to work with us on a coursed meal (5 courses, not including appetizers), signature cocktail, a variety of appetizers, AND a wedding cake! It was all delicious and beautiful, and they served us and our guests (11 total including us) in a professional, courteous, and knowledgable manner. I would not hesitate to work with Leslie and the Travelling Cafe for another event. If I lived in the area, I would also absolutely go to one of the cooking classes they offer! My husband and I just thawed out the top of our wedding cake (lemon/lavender chiffon) this week for our first anniversary, and somehow, even a year later, the flavors were still vibrant and delicious.”
