First time in a kayak and really enjoyed every bit of it. Aaron the guide was great and his sister who helped us with booking was very helpful and very nice. This is a family run business and it shows. We will definitely be doing this again next time we are in Amelia Island and will definitely book through them again.
Really awesome guides. Aaron and Ken were so nice a d knowledgeable. I plan to bring my son for the teen camp with these folks.
My dad and I chose Amelia Island Kayak Excursions to paddle out to Cumberland island to see wild horses. It was better than expected! Our guide, Aaron, was really knowledgable on the safety, navigation, and history of the area, so the paddle was smooth, fun, and interesting. At the end, we got to see a wild horse grazing!
My dad kayaks recreationally just about every day, and has done a similar trek out to this very spot twice prior. However, he still appreciated paddling with this group because they knew the proper conditions and route to make this paddle more enjoyable.
This past month my kids join Amelia Island Kayak Excursions for summer camp. They had a blast each day and took home a wealth of knowledge. There were so many little details they included that made it such a unique and special experience. If you’re looking for an adventure for the kids this is perfect!
Or if you just want to paddle the waters of Fernandina Beach I highly recommend booking a tour! We will definitely be back next Summer!
Thank you AIKE!!
The experience with Amelia Island Kayak Excursions is incredible all-around. It's fun, engaging, adventurous, educational, and ultimately memorable for all the right reasons.
My wife and I did the Cumberland Island kayak tour with Aaron, and it was outstanding. Aaron was fun and engaging, and his historical lectures about the area were excellent. He’s a storyteller—that’s what history is all about! If you enjoy learning about the history of the island, from the indigenous to the French vs. Spanish to the Carnegies to even a Kennedy, Aaron is your man. As for Cumberland Island itself, it's quiet, beautiful, and relaxing. We did get a glimpse of the famous wild horses from a distance, so at least we can say we saw them. The actual kayaking to and from the island was fun and enjoyable, apart from my wife yelling at me every now and then to turn. I have tried the past couple of days to find a way to fault Amelia Island Kayak Excursions for that, but alas, I cannot.
I highly recommend this agency and give it an A+ rating with no hesitation. We have kayaked with them twice now, and we will most definitely be doing another excursion with them again; the only question is whether to do a repeat experience or a new adventure!
