Stratford has always been a pleasant place to visit. The building is kept well, the patients are usually clean and comfortable and the staff always seem eager to assist and address patient’s needs. They were wearing proper PPE and practiced social distancing. Thanks for the opportunity to express this opinion.
Working with Terrie Smith was a pleasure. She is professional and shows great compassion for the residents care and well-being.
I've been in this facility several times recently and my gut reaction to it is very positive. I am not easily impressed when It comes to long-term care facilities, having worked in them for many years. Here's what I like about this facility:
-Front desk staff is always welcoming and fun.
-Building is very clean and well-lit. Grounds and the building are very well maintained.
-Residents are vibrant and many can be seen moving around in the facility and interacting with other residents and staff. They appear to be in good spirits.
-Interactions with nursing staff have always been positive. They seem to care about the residents and are happy to lend a hand to visitors like me.
-Therapy staff are a good seasoned group. They are a pleasure to interact with and clearly care about their residents. Therapy gyms (I believe there are three) are quite nice.
-The residents rooms are significantly more spacious than average. The furniture, fixtures, flooring, etc are updated.
I have been very pleased with the care my sister has received at Stratford. The staff is friendly, caring and attentive. The place is immaculate and has a relaxed vibe when you walk in. They have activities too...including music, crafts and bingo...other stuff too. My sister's favorite is pet therapy. My sister could not sit up when she arrived but can now walk to the bathroom and shower by herself. She had broken her leg badly. Due to arthritis she may need to stay long term. But that is OK. It is a safe place for her which is what we all want for our loved ones.
