I started at OMS just a couple of months before the pandemic, and I'm quite sure, that my experience, along with my peers, was far different from everyone else who attends. That said, OMS was as dedicated to my goals as I was throughout the difficult situation. The instructors were able to adapt, and give us all a lesson that might have gone under the radar (so to speak) regarding remote broadcasting and preforming all the tasks that we usually do in person, at home or elsewhere!
When I began, I wasn't sure just yet of which direction in broadcasting that I wanted to go. That decision got rougher to make as the classes went by because every new thing I was learning was a situation of "OOOOH, I WANNA DO THAT!" The entire experience was fun and informative!!
I used to hear the ads on the radio, with different graduates giving their success stories and a short explanations of how this school can change YOUR life... and it does!
I love my audio class Ryan is A1. He takes the time to make sure we all understand what we are talking about. He does a great job relating what we learn to real life. All my classmates are great the network that the Ohio Media School have given me awesome!!!
As a small business owner and veteran, I highly recommend the Ohio Media School. I started my business (DefenseFit) while attending and was able to apply everything I was taught right away. Everything is hands-on learning from day one taught by industry professionals. My social media presence, website, marketing, and advertisement all play a huge part in the success of my business and I contribute that to the entire staff and alumni at the Ohio Media School. Not to mention the great friendships and connections made through networking and exposure to the media and broadcasting industry. If you’re an entrepreneur you would be doing yourself a disservice by not attending. Especially if you’re a veteran.
I love this school!!! All of the instructors are easy to get along with and have great personalities. They make sure to help you succeed as long as you do everything you can to help yourself. They let you work at your own pace and make sure you have all of the tools you need. They use teams for a option to log into live classes if you are unable to make it to class. I promise though you want to be on campus for the best experience and the most fun way to learn. Worth every penny! Learn to make movies and be on the radio. They even teach you to take pictures like a professional (the pictures attached are ones I took on my cell phone.) The pictures look professional no matter what device you use after they get done teaching you!!
When I registered to be a student here at OMS, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. From the first day that I walked into the building, I felt welcomed, accepted, and excited to learn. I take a lot of pride in being an OMS Alumni. Walking through these hallways, and seeing the names of those that have been here before me always motivates me to follow my dreams the same way that they did. I'd recommend this school to those that want to do media, and even to those that aren't sure if this is what they want. The staff is supportive, professional, and kind. It's never too late to learn, and the experience is worth it.
