Toft Funeral home was very kind and empathetic when my husband passed away. They took great care making sure he had a lovely funeral and even went out of their way to get Toft's empty ice cream containers to put on his casket. My husband loved ice cream.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the funeral director,Mel Saylers for the compassion and support he showed our family during our great loss and sorrow. He guided us through the details with patience and kindnesses which made things easier to manage.Thank you so much for the way you took care of Cassie and our family from start to finish.Everything was done to honor Cassie with dignity and compassion for our family. Thank you sincerely. Ronnie Hammock and family.
The kindness and genuine empathy of the staff at Toft helps to make the painful process of saying goodbye to a loved one a bit less sorrowful. They helped with sharing ideas to celebrate a life well lived. Everyone on the staff carried out their duties while giving the families wishes top priority. I would recommend them to any family.
So grateful for the expertise and compassion of the whole team. Even with disjointed family representation, they were patient and able to act as liaisons of sorts to try to accommodate everyone's requests. They answered so many questions to help guide unknowledgeable parties and make them feel included, especially during such emotional times.
They took care of everything and made the process easy and stress-free.
The death of a loved one is one of the hardest moments you can deal with in life. Stress, bills, people constantly calling and visiting, grief, anger, sadness, all turn your life upside down. I am so glad we had Jen and James to help us navigate this emotional time. They both are so kind and professional throughout every stage of planning and even after the services are completed. During my mother's final days and after her passing they were just amazing, all the staff were. They made sure her wishes were honored and were with us to help navigate through the things we didn't even know or think about. They have a beautiful facility that you can use or they will help you prepare for everything to be prepared at another venue such as a church or place of worship. My mother wished to have her services held at her church The First Congregational United Church of Christ, and the flowers were artfully crafted for us at Flowerama. They were not judgemental or pushy at all throughout the process and kindly made sure the correct billing and other things (you aren't thinking about at a time of grief) are explained clearly and handled properly. They have an office on-site to plan everything in a comfortable setting, or will travel to you if that's your preference. Limited parking, but on street parking is also available. The building is handicap accessible and well maintained. My family and I absolutely recommend contacting Norman Hinman Tanner Funeral Home for all your funeral and end of life planning needs.
