Edison Woods MetroPark

We were there to use the bridal trails. The trails are well cared for and easy to navigate. They have a great crew!

Nice hiking trails. The "blaze" marker colors coincide with the trail map. The one I would definitely stay away from is the West Oak hickory Trail. This Trail is not well marked and is totally on grass. Lots of holes from the horses made it tough to hike. All the other trails we were on, were well marked. Nice little half mile loop was the adventure walkway. This boardwalk loop gave information about the area. I would definitely suggest some sort of bug netting for your face and definitely bug/tick spray.

Several trails. Pretty easy-breezy, for horses, humans, & BUGS. Lotsa butterflies, incl. "red spotted purple" (looks like a monarch but blue) & those little periwinkle blue ones that play tag.

Beautiful place to walk, jog, or ride horses. Several miles of trails through woods, hills, marsh, and flat land. It's very peaceful and never super busy. Has some benches along the trails to sit and rest and enjoy the sounds of nature. Also has a nice boardwalk pointing out some history of the area.
