Fairfield County Airport (LHQ)

Really worth the visit. Quite a collection old planes and military gear. Some items are connected to the stories of the brave men that used them.

They have aircraft here and if you feel so inclined, you can become a student pilot and do some flying. Be careful though as flying airplanes is highly addictive and can lead to good times and fun travels.

Did a lot of CAP flying out of this well operated facility! We had a nice C172RG at our disposal..just keep the tanks topped off!!

This is where you go to experience General Aviation. I initially stopped here because they had the oil I needed (they have a lot of oil).

I came back to the airport with what turned out to be a problem between the yoke and the seat. Pat and Darrell turned me around in a couple hours and I was on my way.

Darrell is an expert on aviation and if you need aircraft service go to Sundowner Aviation.

Sundowner are a shoe in for airport of the year. Great experience. Five Stars.

Come here every other month in a helicopter. Cheap fuel, crew car available, and great service. Love stopping by.
