Blendon Woods Metro Park

Beautiful and clean metro park. Lots of picnic areas, trails and places for fun adventures. Great for singles, couples, families, groups and parties. We had a delightful picnic together. Very pleased and looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend to others. Godspeed to all.

I cannot believe I've been in Columbus for 20 years and never knew about this hidden gem! I grew up in West Virginia and I've never seen a place that reminded me of home like this around here. Absolutely beautiful well-maintained trails and scenic views everywhere you look. I even played the disc golf course while I was there and it was nice, too! No matter where you are in the park, make sure you stay in the areas where you are supposed to be... both for conservation and for your own good since there is poison ivy everywhere off the trails!

The rangers are very friendly.

Fun park - if you go to the natural play area there are tall nets to climb on and a tire swing. If you continue on the path there are lots of things made from natural wood - a train, teeter totter, tether ball, tic-tac-toe, a log to cross the creek, a rope swing hanging from a tree, an amazing zip line that you sit on as a swing. At points on the trail there are steep inclines. It’s a short dusty dirt trail with all those features along the way.

The Natural Play Area was a fun and unique outdoor adventure for our family. It was neat to see all the surprises as we wound along the trail. The zip line was great (ages 5 and up, max rider weight 350 lb). I hopped on the giant teeter-totter opposite my 8-year-old. Wear your walking shoes - my sandals didn't cut it. The kids also enjoyed the other playgrounds and swings.
