Slate Hill Apartments

Could not be MORE happy with maintenance.
My hot water tank leaked and got under my new flooring.
Maintenance came and fixed it back to new.

I have been here 3 short months but I am so far having a great experience. When I first applied to move her I was applying for Worthington Woods Apartment and the lady (who was new and pregnant at the time can't remember her name) was SUPER sweet and helpful. She did everything in her power to make this a smooth transition even though we were having bumps on the road due to my own personal issues while applying but she made it her personal business to get us in. Everyone has been very welcoming here (there is one lady at Cedar Trace office who isn't very friendly but nice enough I suppose). Maintenance is quick with your request. Typically same or next day depending on the issue. I ended up having to move to the Slate Hill apartment complex because of apartment availability. Slate Hill has newer updates then the other units so I love that. My neighbors are the best ever!
My only issue is that there is not an office at this location. You have to go to Cedar Trace anytime you need to pay rent or see them face to face. So that means no monitoring, such as people who do not clean up after their dogs. I have step in dog pooh countless times. Also my main issue is that the swimming pool isn't open. You have to go to Cedar Trace or Worthington Woods anytime you want to swim. And considering I have children who planned on swimming all summer that's an issue. Only because I have a newborn so I can't drive them to the pool and sit with them because it's too hot for my newborn. Whereas if the pool here was open I could watch them from the window (I have teens). Not to mention we only have one car so even when I can find a sitter to take my kids swimming it means I have to take my boyfriend to work in the morning just so I can take the kids swimming. Considering we pay just as much in rent as the other properties I think we should have the same amenities and conveniences as the others. That is a major disadvantage for me. I would have waited for another unit to be open at Worthington Woods had I been told the pool would be closed.
But outside of that inconvenience I love it here. It's clean, updated, friendly neighbors and staff and close to everything!

There are several trains in the area. It's up to you if you consider that a pro or con. I love the sound of trains it's so relaxing to me. If it weren't for the swimming pool being closed I'd give it five stars.
