(June 5, 2020, 7:30 pm)Trying to decide on the perfect engagement ring is difficult at the best of times, but with most stores shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic I was truely worried about whether I would be able to find what I was looking for. Fortunately for me, Jim and Sophia at DP&J were not deterred by these challenges.
Jim and Sophia took the time to sit with me in a series of 1 on 1 appointments to introduce me to the world of gems and jewelry, teaching me the basics of what makes a fantastic diamond and providing detailed examples from their inventory. As I came to know what I wanted in the ring, they worked with suppliers (many of whom were closed) to get different gems sent so I could compare them in person. Lastly, upon deciding on the right ring, they worked with their contacts to make sure I received it in a timely manner even though the design I wanted was not initially available due to various shutdowns across the country.
My experience at Diamonds, Pearls and Jade was fantastic, and I hope to be back before too long to work on wedding rings!
(May 28, 2020, 2:48 pm)Sophia and Jim are such a breath of fresh air, in a world of Big Business, and little care about the consumer, they prove that there are still hidden gems out there that care, and care a whole lot. I probably put off buying an engagement ring longer than I should have, due to the fact I was dreading the process....Well, somehow I find Sophia and Jim, and the process turns into 2 or 3 visit's to their lovely home, learning about diamonds in a way that doesn't make you feel overwhelmed or embarrassed by your lack of knowledge (I had little to none). We had a cocktail, we talked about my soon to be wife, Paige in the most comfortable environment I could imagine. They guided me along this entire process without any pressure, or up-selling. They truly listen to everything you have to say, your style, budget, etc.... Go find the most beautiful stones you could imagine and show you all the options and choices. I could go on and on and on, but I know people don't like novels for their reviews. Go meet these wonderful people if you are looking for a wonderful experience, and don't leave without trying Jim's "World Famous cake" It's to die for!

(January 31, 2020, 5:08 pm)Sophia and Jim were so caring and hospitable through the process of finding my engagement ring. I went in with a specific idea, they helped me find what I was looking for and made it even more special than I could have imagined. The selection of gemstones was fabulous as well as their knowledge on the stones. They listened to what I said and found a stone for me I would have never thought of without their help. They were so patient as I decided upon what I wanted. I truly felt cared for and respected, I would recommend Sophia and Jim to anyone I know!
(January 23, 2019, 11:42 am)I was heartbroken when I realized that my diamond ring, given to me by my late husband, had a chip in the diamond. After contacting gemologists, I realized the diamond needed to be replaced. My new husband had befriended Sophia and James through The TriVillage Rotary and spoke so highly of them that I decided to contact them about my diamond search. I was encouraged by my insurance company to use their out of state Gemologist who they said would give me a great price since they have the Nationwide account.
I contacted 3 gemologist to choose a ring. From the minute I met James and Sophia I knew they had my best interest at heart. They allowed me to ask many many questions in my search and never acted like I was a bother. I visited their jewelry store at least 6 times and was always greeted with a drink and desserts so I would feel right at home. In the long run they found the perfect diamond that met my needs and they were able to offer it at a price, less then the out of state jeweler and it was a more perfect diamond. I would highly recommend James and Sophia and would suggest that you interview them before making a major purchase. They love to see the smile on their customers faces and it is evident that they love what they do.
(January 21, 2018, 7:49 pm)Jim and Sophia provide a truly unique experience! I chose my gemstone and setting for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring and I love it! They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind, and take pride in their business. If you want something classy and original - DP&J is the place to go!! (My son uses my Google account as Toxic Potato....ha....despite the silly name take my advice about the best jewelers around!)
