Russell Uplands Preserve

Beautiful trails through the woods.

My grandson's and I really like this out of the way park. they're only a couple of other people there while we were there. That's a pretty trail down to a lake and more trails out into the woods. It is a gem

Enjoyed the walk! Several different branches on the path. Entirely wooded, very hilly. It doesn't seem very loved or funded though, there's only one kind of sad looking shelter that I was able to find, and the parking lot is tiny and was empty when I was there at least. Nice place.

Russell Uplands Preserve has more than a few surprises for newcomers. I don't intend to spoil that here. Anyway, this is a great place to get at least 30 minutes of hiking in, or an hour if you explore all of the trails. When I went, there was no trash, so thank you to all who have helped keep this place clean and safe for all species. Go hiking here if you're looking for a mostly quiet hike immersed in forest life.

Interesting trails. Limited parking. Close to Chagrin Falls. Doesn't get much word of mouth. A hidden gem.
