“Van Sickle Family Cementery is located on a bit of a hill near the Great Miami River. The Cementery also is next to the Hamilton County Gun Range. Owned and maintained by Colerain Township, the immediate area of the small Cementery, is mowed on a quasi-basis. There are 12 known graves of which have 5 headstones. The Colerain Historical Society cleans the stones and Cementery annually. The headstones identify known names listed in Colerain's History books. Van Sickle Cemetery is one of more than a dozen historical cemeteries in Colerain Township. Everyone is trying to preserve the local history.”

The food is cooked to order, so expect to wait, but it's worth it. And it's set up for takeout, although there is seating, so the food is not plated when you dine in. The cabbage and greens were especially delicious. Also, the Brown Stewed Red Snapper Fish was absolutely wonderful. Food came with delicious sides like homemade cornbread, and fried banana. “Terri and Artrageous are one of only two vendors from our wedding that I overwhelmingly recommend to people without reservation. We had 40-60 more servings of cake than people (because we couldn't narrow our four favorites down to three and had a good number of little kids and a few no-shows) and huge amounts of cookies (a hometown tradition for me). So most "experts" would say we ordered double what we needed. Ha! What little cake remained that night was gone the next day after a small family lunch - it was THAT delicious. Terri was also the only one able to do what we wanted without having to have a full fondant cake (animal silhouettes that she applied over buttercream, nobody else would do it) and it was PERFECT. My husband is on his way to pick up our free first anniversary layer from her and neither of us can wait to share it! Sometimes she might take a day or two to get back to you, and all of the info you need (like returning the cake dowels that someone else had an issue with) is in the contract, so it's all worth it. FTR our flavors were tangerine with strawberry cream filling, black raspberry chocolate chip with opera cream, mint chocolate with chocolate fudge filling and coconut with raspberry. All of them spectacular!”
