“My husband and I stayed at the Scenic View cabin. Pros and cons. The overall experience was good. we really enjoyed the on site fishing. It was great to have a hot tub and fire pit also. And it is very secluded, which is AWESOME. But there is no cell phone reception at all and no land line. For a parent like me I need to be able to get in touch with my children. Also the cabin could use a little updating. The pictures they have online are not what is at the actually cabin. Different hot tub and there is no bench seating and a different picnic table outside. The outside furniture was very dirty. Bird poop on the chairs and table. We brought our own camping chairs. The cabin really does have a lot of potential. We would try one of their other cabins.”

“Great place to spend a weekend with friends. The place we rented (16851) was huge and easily accommodated 8 adults - 5 different families. We could fit more! The grounds were smaller than expected. The pond and hot tub had a bit to be desired. Included plenty of TVs for a sports viewing weekend and also has a theater room - not used. The owner was very personable and down to earth. The cost was very reasonable for the size of the place.”

“We have a family of 5 and 2 guests join us for the weekend. Gary and Karen are amazing people to rent out their cabins. The Preserve is wonderful and enough room for 7 people. Beds and linens are nice, all the kitchen supplies, furniture and outdoor seating area is kept up well. House is clean, has wifi which is helpful loading maps directions and entertaining kids. They made a nice guest book with all the local activities, restaurants and trails. We very much appreciate all the care you take into the cabin and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!”

“A few light bulbs were burned out and the downstairs mattress needs an upgrade but other than that, a very pleasant experience. Nice hot tub outside and a nice big tub inside. Nice kitchen adequately furnished with cookware, dishes and silverware. Lovely setting and a nice trail right outside!”

“The cabin was great and looked as advertised, my only issues were that the water in the shower smelled like well water, the freezer rack was rusted, the upstairs TV didn't work and the outside lay out was not put together well (mainly because the firepit was placed on a section that was on a weird hill). This is for Cabin 1 but it was nice enough that I would consider visiting again.”

“Awesome place to stay! Very clean and cozy and we got to bring our dog, who also had a great time. Far enough from other cabins for some privacy. Hot tub was amazing after a day of hiking. Awesome lighting in the front and back with a beautiful porch swing, perfect for reading or having a cup of coffee. Major hikes were close by as well as the coffee shop and the brewery and winery.The booklet in the cabin had great recommendations for things to do/check-out in the area. Hosts were very communicative and made sure all was well. Looking forward to coming back in the future.”

The internet is spotty BUT it really was a blessing, definitely forced us to slow down, spend intentional time together - we ate, drank, played games, talked and laughed. “It started out a little rough, but we ended up having a wonderful time. First, the address on the welcome email I was sent, was incorrect. So, we ended up going too far and having to go into 4WD to turn around on the hill/rocks. When we got to the correct place, the outside definitely did not have a great curb appeal. The walkways were untrimmed and the front area was very neglected. After having the wrong address, then pulling up to this, we got a very unsettling feeling about the cabin. Before my family got out of the vehicle, I went to checkout the inside. I was fully ready to turn around and find somewhere else to stay. I went inside, though, and the inside was WAY better. It was well cleaned, nicely decorated, and very welcoming. The bedrooms were nicely made, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the porch was nicely set up for relaxing with a view. Everything that was stated to be included was, plus more. The only other thing that tripped us up, was that the laundry services were in the basement with steep/narrow steps. If I would have known that, I wouldn’t have banked so much on using the washer and dryer. It ended up being fine after getting used to them, but I wouldn’t recommend using the basement if you have bad knees/back, as there isn’t a great place to hang onto and the steeps stairs are difficult. Overall, our stay was pretty great. We enjoyed the hot tub, the comfortable resting spots, the fire pit, and the very comfortable beds. The only thing I would recommend, is to clean up the walkways , so you’re not walking through weeds to get to something. Otherwise, the walkway is a little pointless.”
