University Hospitals Avon Rehabilitation Hospital

My elderly father was a patient at UH Acute Rehab in Avon, four times over the years after serious injuries and illnesses . I can honestly say after being discharged each time, my father was significantly better than at the time of his admittance. I can't say enough good things about this state of the art facility and mostly its staff, it's the best. Although my father is no longer with us, he was able to maintain an active lifestyle several years after his last discharge. That included half mile walks four times a week and two visits a week excercising and weight lifting in UH's P.T. gym twice a week. He was 84!

My 86 year old mother was transferred to this wonderful facility in March after suffering a mini stroke. She was there over two weeks and during that time was given wonderful care by the medical staff. She underwent a daily regimen of therapies including: Occupational, Physical, and Speech. She didn't like all of these therapies but knew it would help in her recovery. She appreciated the variety of the food they served as they offered different meal options each day. I want to especially thank the following 'critical care' team that watched over my mom and provided their talents to improve her health and recovery: Angel, Angie, Jayne, Patty, Ashley, Molly, Tina, Christine. There were many others and I forgot their names but they know who they are. There was even a nice young man who came every day to deliver my mom's meals to her from the hospital kitchen. I never got his name but he was as hard working as the critical care team. Kudos to the staff at this facility, and thank you again EVERYONE who helped my mom in her recovery!

My father was here for 2 weeks after a stroke. The therapy helped him so much! Very nice place!

UH Avon has exceptional nurses, therapists and physicians. They went above and beyond for all their staff, patients, and families during the pandemic to keep everyone safe. 5 stars!

My mother had hip surgery and went here for rehab. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Nurses, Doctors, and Therapists. They even went out of their way to provide additional care for my mother since I was going to be out of town for a few days. Top notch facility!! Highly recommend!
