“Dr Vingan, Diane and the supporting staff at NJ Brain and Spine have been wonderful. Dr Vingan performed laminectomy surgery on my 89 year old dad who had spinal stenosis. For over a year, he had chronic leg pain, was on pain meds and could hardly walk or sleep. Physical therapy and epidural injections had not worked. While the time for him to recuperate post- surgery took longer than my dad expected, he was off all pain meds within 2 weeks of the surgery and after a month in rehab and three months of out-patient PT, he is able to walk with a cane and even drive! Dr Vingan and Diane have been incredibly patient and spent a lot of time answering all our questions throughout the process. They are very understanding of elderly patients and were reassuring and confident with us throughout the process without being condescending or inpatient. I’m so grateful that the doctor did not automatically dismiss my dad’s case just because of his age and he really did a thorough assessment to determine whether he could help him. PS and he takes Medicare!”

“He is the best! He has been life-changing and I am speaking from both long-term experience, as well as recent. My former physician was an OSU Medical School graduate and it was once a dream of mine to be as well. I think very highly of D.O.'s because they allow the patient to be involved with their healthcare. After losing my physician to his untimely death, I knew obtaining one particular medication would be troublesome. However, I never expected it to become a 7 month challenge! As I laid writhing in pain, my spouse reached out to Dr. Hayes. I had become unbearable to be around and I wasn't handling life very well... I had been receiving my medicine through the Abbvie Patient Assistance Program. A company who should understand their own warnings on their medications, continued to provide obstacle after obstacle for receiving my next 3 month supply of medication. I knew that I would encounter difficulties, so I initially began taking my meds every other day. As time went on, it was every 3rd day, until I had exhausted them all. The company didn't seem to care. My new physician, with a call in request, failed to send the prescription to the pharmacy so I could attempt to obtain it by other means. I needed help. Dr. Hayes recognized immediately that I was suffering from withdrawals. I had used the medicine for over 5 years straight. I was in a lot of pain and was no longer able to truly help myself. I am still recovering, but thanks to Dr. Hayes, I am almost back to my normal self again. Although Dr. Hayes' office has suffered during the Pandemic, like most other businesses, I appreciate that Dr. Hayes utilizes technology to continue treating patients. I enjoyed being able to complete all of my new patient paperwork online. It was so easy and is my preferred method of communication. I hate having actual documents to file. That was one thing I enjoyed doing most through my previous employer - filing documents electronically; everything from scanned images to emails. Overall, when Dr. Hayes is needed the most, he is there. I'm so thankful that God allowed Dr. Hayes to be a key player in my life. Very, very thankful for such a wonderful, intelligent, caring physician!!”
