Eastwood MetroPark

We love to bring our kayaks here. There are two sections of this park. One with the large lake, and the other side has a long bike trail and many parking spots along the way to the back of the park where there are docks and places for picnics or gatherings. The scenery is very pretty at this entire park.

I love Eastwood lake. If you just want to be on the water, it's a metropark for sure, but there's easy access to get your boat in quickly for some rowing and sitting back to watch the clouds roll by.

There is some traffic noise but put your earbuds in, listen to some gentle music and enjoy. 🛶

Haven't been here in over 20 years. There have been some changes. The water is really murky. Quite a bit of trash floating. That's embarrassing. Could use some attention.

This park is wonderful. The yellow trail is relatively flat, about two miles long, and runs along the river then circles a meadow. Lots of flora and fauna.
