Heartland Country Resort and Lodge

Comfortable, peaceful and serene are the first words that jump into my mind when thinking back to our weekend at Heartland! Laurie and Jim are the best hosts…available to help and super informative but also very respectful of our privacy. The Serenity Suite was perfect for our weekend…comfortable bed and sofa, a huge bathtub and a kitchenette that was just the right size. We opted for the Romantic Getaway package which included the most amazing couples’ massage (I can’t say enough about the great job Ashley and Jessica did!) and delicious breakfasts delivered to our suite…we didn’t even have to get out of our pjs! And the critters…we fell in love with them and loved feeding Ginger and Chewy (the friendliest goats ever!),throwing the ball for Boomer and snuggling with Blue. If you need a time and space to re-energize and relax, you can’t go wrong at Heartland!

Let me tell you!!! Firstly, the cabins are so darn cute and cozy, clean and modernized!! Full amenities! The first night I couldn't figure out why I was sooo cold. I reached out to the Laura and couldn't reach her. The next morning Jim apologized for for being sleep and Laura was not feeling well. He got right on it and fired it up. Boy did that do the trick immediately!! I also couldn't get the TV on and Laura came to help me at around 8:30 pm. I was thoroughly impressed with the service and attention. The animals are healthy and happy to see you! Animals are always happy to be around good people lol. I highly recommend Heartland for your next event. Such graciousness from Jim and Laura. If customer service is important to you then Welcome Home!!! Hopefully I'll go back some day. It's probably stunning in the winter too!! Plenty of heat for sure! Thank you Heartland!!!!!!!

Lovely country resort with many comfortable lounging areas and great sleeping quarters. The kitchen is a bit small for large crowds, but is very well stocked and was adequate for our needs. Hosts are friendly and easy to work with! I highly recommend the place!

I hosted a women’s retreat at Heartland. We could not have had a more perfect place. The rooms and beds were comfortable. We were able to use the entire kitchen to feed our guests. They even prepped the fire pit for an evening with s’mores! They made sure our visit was comfortable and that we had everything we needed including wifi, enough parking, fans, space and more! Lastly I will say that we were very grateful to take advantage of the breakfast prepped by Heartland, it was absolutely yummy and an abundance of food to enjoy while we relaxed with our guests the last day of the retreat.

My family had such a wonderful weekend here. The kids stayed busy in the petting zoo and paddleboat and we were able to relax in a beautiful wooded atmosphere. Lots of wildlife in the area to watch also. Laurie made an amazing breakfast for us and her chocolate covered strawberries were so good! We can't wait to visit this fun little farm again!
