(August 18, 2018, 7:51 am)A gem ... a protected piece of the once-vast Great Black Swamp, with rare plants and wildlife living on in the sheltered wetland forest. Plus, the fields surrounding the Black Swamp remnant are a great place to see the restoration of natural habitats in real time thanks to the Black Swamp Conservancy. But note that you must contact them for an easy-to-get permit before you visit.
