Jackson Bog State Nature Preserve

Address: 7984 Fulton Dr NW, Massillon, OH 44646, USA

Park

“I was at a volleyball tournament today at Jackson High School, and I had about an hour between games, so I wanted to find a quick, nearby place to run. Since it was in the middle of a hot August day, I was hoping for a shaded area. I found the Jackson Bog. Little did I know, the Bog has an entrance right off the high school parking lot (I'll show where in the pictures). About 80% of my 40-minute run was in the shade, and I loved the experience. I'm only giving four stars because the signage explaining where the trail begins, continues, and ends could use an upgrade. I’ve tried to provide clarification in a few pictures below.”

Devonshire Park

Address: 4679 South Blvd NW, Canton, OH 44718, USA

Park

“I love this site! There's usually not too many people here, so you can walk around and observe nature, play basketball, or even fish when the weather is nice enough. Great place, I made lots of memories here with my Husband and two daughters. Would recommend visiting if you're looking for a reserved place to chill and relax”

Crystal Springs Trailhead

Address: 4503 Erie Ave NW, Canal Fulton, OH 44614, USA

“Right next to the Erie Canal. Great for walking and great for riding a bicycle. Erie Canal meets up with the Tuscarawas River many times.”

“They have a great recycling center for residential use. The bins are clearly marked and there is ample parking for drop off and two entrance/exit points to help alleviate traffic congestion. Nice clean facility.”
