Cindi Gay Rug Hooking

I had the pleasure of taking a class taught by Cindi at our local guild, Merry Mountain Hookers in Asheville, NC. Cindi is an excellent teacher with so much information to impart to her students (which she readily shares!) on hooking, dyeing and finishing techniques! I learned so much in just two days - it was incredible. She also is an excellent wool dyer and gave us all hints on how to penney dye and "marry" different fabrics. All in all it was a wonder two-day class and I look forward to the next opportunity to hook in a class with her again.

I have been rug hooking since 1995. My class with Cindi at Star of Texas Tyler was great. Some teachers are color planners only....Cindi is a true teacher! She is a wealth of information - her fun personality is a bonus! I completed my "Supposed to Be" rug and have received many compliments. I have also ordered from her on-line and have been very pleased with how quickly I receive orders. I first met Cindi on her web page when I knew absolutely nothing about rug hooking. From what I read on her site, I had a better understanding about the art. I still refer to her web page for the latest information and to look at the archives.

I have had the pleasure of hooking with Cindi twice...both in Texas at the Star of Texas camps. She is an excellent teacher, has wonderful color sense, is a wealth of knowledge and just plain fun. If you have the chance to hook with her, sign up!!!

I love Cindi's site as it keeps me up to date with the Rug Hooking I so enjoy. I am able to purchase product and get other valuable information on what is going on. I recently purchased awesome whipping yarn from Cindi, the colors are amazing, they work well will all rugs and the quality outstanding.
