Great show as usual, well organized, plenty of rest rooms, golf carts, good parking.
And of course plenty of great old iron.
Ohio Cat had a great turnout, as it's there 80th anniversary.
Slow on Thursday, better on Friday, volunteer Dave B sure is busy. National show in Bowling Green Ohio. Many construction machines working.
Such a great place to visit. Lots of great vintage construction equipment on display and many pieces were working.
I truly cannot say enough positive things about this museum. Dave, our guide, was beyond generous and knowledgeable. He’s been volunteering here for 30 years and came to the museum on a Friday right before Christmas to show my family around for a full two hours. We had an absolute blast. The equipment is beautiful, unique, and fascinating to look at and Dave was able to answer all of our many questions.
I became a member and my family was able to tour the entire facility for $35 total for the six of us. We had an amazing time and I feel it was a wonderful bonding experience.
I can’t wait to tell my friends about the museum and come back whenever I am able. This was honestly the part of Christmas vacation that I was the most excited about and it did not disappoint.
Dave, thank you for your kindness and generosity today. We will never forget this experience. And thank you to all the volunteers who put so much time, passion, and dedication into the art of preserving this beautiful equipment.
This is not to be missed. A real gem that deserves so much love and attention. Please visit! Bring the whole family! Preserving history is crucially important and you can tell, without a doubt, that these folks are involved purely for the love of the construction equipment and the stories within. I was really moved by Dave’s passion and love for what he does and it’s clear that the love is shared among all who participate in making this wonderful place what it is.
Suggestion: call ahead to book your tour so they can find a volunteer to show you around. Membership comes with a magazine delivered to your house!
Etched into the background of the Ohio country side is the Historical Construction Equipment Museum. Not to be mistaken for an abandon old farm house, this site must be hundreds of years old. The driveway is laced with large willow trees and the old maple by the house is easily 50 feet in diameter. A week from their annual show and festival the grounds were neatly mowed. The drive way showed how careful they had extracted lose bolts and nails. The front door to the museum
Was nicely decorated with corn stalks and pumpkins. The antique equipment was huge and functional but very scary to walk around. Tires were taller than most humans and rusty weathered motor equipment calls you every step you take. A couple of volunteers said they came for a visit and just decided to stay so they keep coming back. It's not my style but I can see the attraction. This is a must see attraction
