Beautiful Lake. The water is so refreshing. Nice campgrounds. Only 17.00 a night. Bathroons have flushing tolites and are air-conditioned. They even have showers. Sunsets are amazing. Dogs are welcome.
Little ax is the place to Camp if you like to be by the water. Tommy and Tammey🏕 camp host do a good job keeping the camp clean in the people straight. We spent two weeks enjoying the sunsets were beautiful but temperature was ridiculous 113 but we survived had a great time with our friends. We are ready to go again!
Enjoyed our stay here. We camped for 4 nights in a lake front RV site with full hook ups and 30 amp power. Generally our site was well maintained. The park itself could use some repairs which I’ve accounted for in my rating but I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
Great trails to hike, and to introduce my little girl to the great outdoors. The State Police Office we meet was super cool, and took some time to show us a good trail for my first timer.
Gorgeous views of Lake Thunderbird from Post oak. The grounds were well maintained, very quiet peaceful park. The restrooms were clean-ish, meaning they could use some updates, but overall fairly clean. The showers however were not very appealing... opted to shower in the RV instead so that really wasn't an issue for us. Saw a lot of wildlife, especially deer.
