“It is time to stop for some diesel and so we find ourselves at Guthrie Travel Center, or as my husband calls it Velaro's. There is also a Golden Chick eatery inside, but it is temporarily shut down due to remodeling. We weren't here too long to check everything out, but what we did see was a little strange for a gas station. First off, I was running not walking to the restroom cause...you know this girl had to go! The restroom didn't smell bad, but there were wadded up paper towels on the counter, toilet paper on the floor and coming out of some of the stools. There was also a scale and a changing station in there. I couldn't get some of the faucets to work until I tried the very last one then BINGO we have a winner! Still not sure how I feel about those motion sensor things. By the time I came out, my husband had done fueled and was heading into the men's restroom, which he said was clean. I started looking around and taking pictures. Actually the store smelled clean. One of the employees was wiping down his counter, continuously spaying cleaner all over. I also saw the door to the Golden Chick that had been closed off with plastic hanging down from the ceiling, boards on the floor and with saw dust. Along with tons of fully stocked food, snacks and drinks was a corner filled with other products to purchase. Some of the items I've never seen before in a truck stop. The first to catch my eye was the white heads, for just $10.99 you can buy wig holders here! They also have very warm looking parkas.. aren't we about out of that season? There was also hats, sunglasses, purses, shirts, a kite on the wall that looks as though it didn't belong there along with the boxed up dolls at the top of the shelves holding the 2 lt. soda bottles and the wines. We didn't end up buying anything here except the fuel, though I do want to mention that other than the guy so focused on cleaning his counter, at the other counter near the entrance was a young man sitting that greeted us both when we came in and upon exiting. He's kind of hidden where he's seated, but was friendly and smiling.. this has been an interesting stop.”

“This little gym of a gas station and convenience store hides under the facade of a very unassuming place. With the bars on the windows, I thought for sure I would find a hole in the floor to squat over in the restroom. What a pleasant surprise this place was! Very clean in the restrooms and throughout the store. The glass was clean and shiny in the cooler doors, the floor was clean, the place did not smell of stale smoke and stale Greece! I even found Peach Crush and A & W brand Cream Soda in 12 packs here, and those are hard to find Anywhere!”

“Great store! I love there pizza there my husband and son always want some hot food from there. And they are very affordable and great quality items and food. And great gas prices! I have cancer and they make it a lot easier on me some days when I can’t walk I’ve had employees come and help me get gas and pump it when I had my first operation and was on crutches and a lot of people will watch you struggle but they sure didn’t, quick to help! And I really appreciate the curtesy! I hope to win your guys giveaway I enter anytime I can, and that’s another good thing you guys always have a sweepstake or something going on and that’s always fun! “Clean store and restrooms. Good pit stop. Love’s on both sides of interstate. This location has a Subway and Godfathers located inside. $7.59 for a case of water is extremely ridiculous. It seems like Love’s takes advantage of travelers and prices items in the store high. Reasonably priced gas compared to surrounding station.”

“We stopped in today to get some bottles of water and something to eat. When walking in you can see how big and spacious it is inside, towards the left is a lot of tables to eat at and the fountain area along with the hotbox and desserts. To the right is the aisles you normally see in gas stations...keychains, shot glasses, jewelry, food items, travel merchandise, the restrooms are also on the side. I lost my husband in the store and went ahead and got 3 chicken strips, small mashed potatoes with gravy and a slice of carrot cake. The portion size here is more than enough. I stood by a table waiting for my husband, who I thought was taking a very long time in the bathroom..so I waited..I couldn't see out to the vehicle because the windows were tinted on the lower half and I couldn't see out there so I continued to wait patiently. After I got off the phone with my daughter, I went outside to grab my purse and get checked out. Turns out he was sitting out there the whole time..said he just went in a grabbed me a water. I went back in to pay. The employees are all so nice and efficient with their jobs. Once in the car again, we were able to split the food to fill us both up...not bad for a $10.57 meal for 2.”

“The cleanest and most well managed loves I've stopped at. Actually used their RV park for about 4 days. Newer service for loves. Water pump on our spot stopped working. Store staff went above and beyond to keep the stay pleasant. Gave complimentary showers while water was down and even ran a hose for us to hookup when needed. Nothing else to say. This is the most hospitable truck stop I've ever visited.”
