“We are so very thankful for Cadence Academy in Tualatin! From the moment I did the walk through I knew it was going to be a great fit. The staff is friendly, loving, smart, and truly cares about the children and their families. The systems they have in place for everything run smoothly, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without their help with our 3 year old. The facility is so clean and well maintained inside and out. The play areas and class rooms are nice and big too and plenty for the kids to do and learn. Whenever we pick up our daughter she is happy and bursting with joy and really loves school. I will for sure be recommending them to anyone who needs childcare in the future. Thank you for all that you do!”

Redland Montessori

“Our daughter, Ruby, has been attending Redland Montessori since September 2013. It has been her first experience in school, and she loves everything about her school! My mom is a Montessori preschool teacher in another state, so I am familiar with the Montessori methods and philosophy. It's the kind of educational foundation we wanted for our daughter. Living in Oregon City limited our options, however. There are many Montessori schools within the Portland city limits, but not very many in Clackamas county and in Oregon City, where we live. We were thrilled to discover that there was a small, home-based Montessori school only 15 minutes away from our house in downtown Oregon City, and even more impressed with the tuition, which is lower than the nearest competitors that we found as we researched other schools. Before I visited, I must admit that I wondered if the school was going to be a little less than professional, since it was being run out of someone's home. I couldn't have been more wrong, though. The schoolroom is large, beautifully decorated, and furnished with high quality Montessori materials. The "homey" feeling is an asset, not a detraction. Additionally, there is a large backyard area which affords plenty of space for outdoor activities and playtime. Ruby loves visiting the chickens who are in their coop. If your child likes animals, they will love getting to know the very friendly animals in residence. Betsy Black, the director and lead guide (the Montessori term for a teacher), has a wonderful, caring, and gentle spirit and way. She does such a great job of modeling how to do things and how to say things in a way that young children will understand. I love that every school day ends with a "thankful circle" where each child is invited to say something they are thankful for. Ruby talks often of her "friends, Betsy and London." In fact, she wants both London (another student) AND Betsy to come to her birthday party this year! Ruby has always been an independent girl who enjoys trying new things, but one of her weaker areas was completing tasks. She often liked to start things but then would wander away from them. Since she's been at Redland Montessori, she has really learned to complete the "cycle of activity," which means not only getting everything ready to do the complete task but also putting it away or cleaning it up when the task is finished. For example, most of the time at home if Ruby gets out some coloring pages and markers, she will also put them away when she is done without being asked and will even remember to push in her chair! This mom is grateful! I know we largely have Betsy's patient modeling to thank for that. In short, we are so pleased with Redland Montessori. We look forward to sending our sons there when they are the right age. If you have any further questions, feel free to get in touch with me via my Google + page.”

“If you're serious about golf and want to take your game to the next level this is the place you need to invest some time and energy. I know too many golfers who refuse lessons but won't hesitate to buy gear off the rack at a big box store. Don't be that guy. If you commit to learning from an expert, you'll be leaps and bounds ahead of your friends. I had the pleasure of taking several lessons with Scott Barla here over the winter and I'm so grateful for the work he's put into my game. No amount of YouTube videos or blog tips can replace an expert's eyes on your swing. Humble yourself and welcome the changes they suggest. Get fit for clubs by a professional and get more JOY out of the game of golf in the long run.”

“My experience is good overall. It's a safe family community. This place is not that cheap when it comes to maintaining the grounds. I've seen various contractor work being done here. This is all a good sign they pay for professional work. It's probably tenants deposit money being used but most apartments do this anyway, from experience I never expect a full deposit back. They do need to upgrade the garbage and recycling machines. I believe the recycling no longer compacts. I live in the 1st floor and the one complaint is I can hear the tenants above walking and it's loud, they act like they don't live in an apartment. So I suppose the flooring above is made thinly. The second complaint is about dog owners especially large dog owners. These people should not take care of dogs if they cannot pick up the poop in obvious places. Laziest people. Some even let their dog poop on the concrete. So the BIGGEST issues are from tenants laziness and not being mindful in the community. In the summer, You will hear kids skateboarding in certain places around the complex, but I don't mind. They are good kids just playing. Management and staff made it easy to move in last year in the beginning of the pandemic. I had no issues with communication and paperwork. I'm happy to move in here, it can be much worse at the non gated complexes. I was recommended to move here and I don't regret and I've recommended this place to others.”
