Willamette Mission State Park

I really like this park a lot! It is rock-hounders dream come true! Other than that, access to the ferry, equestrian trails, disc golf, hazelnut trees, fishing (maybe.. the Willamette is funky water lol), and picnic tables. Did I mention rocks? Check the slough… you are welcome ;)

Nice flat trails, dogs allowed on leash, lots of parking, ferry free to ride as a pedestrian

We only had a short time here and we didn't get to see all of the park by far, but from what we did see I'd happily come back. The drive through the park was beautiful and the kids loved seeing the osprey nest. We walked along part of the lake and over to see the big cottonwood. The number of different trees along just the short trail we followed was amazing, we counted at least 13 species and I'm sure we missed some! The kids loved looking for animal sign. I was very excited to see the horse riders in the park, and we saw ample picnic tables during our stay.

My husband and I ALWAYS love going to this park. I grew up going here also. We lpve to walk and bike the trails. We play horseshoes alot also, I do wish they would keep up the horseshoes pits but hey, they are playable! They also have a large frisbee golf course.
Tons of picnic tables. A couple covered areas you can reserve out. Great place to be out and enjoy nature.

This is a great place to walk your dog, go for a trail hike or just soak in the peaceful surroundings.
Very family friendly environment.
