If they don't have it, they will find it. The East side of Portland had been void of a good Catholic bookstore for so long it is almost to good to be true!. Set in an old house a few blocks off Woodstock, they have books, candles, incense, jewelry, children's toys, and coffee and fudge made by real live monks. I rarely leave without a purchase or two and if you buy a book, well there are two comfy couches and a free cup of monk coffee right there so you can start reading!
It's small shop, but, you can find the items easily. The proprietor of the shop is very knowledgeable and helpful. I prefer the smaller shops you don't have to feel pressured to hurry up and pick out your items. You can browse without feeling rushed.
Little gem of a gift store. Loved our time browsing the store. So glad to have local Catholic gift shop nearby.
Very helpful, special ordered a hard to find book for me. Torsten, hours posted are correct, spoke with owner and manager, very open and still in business. Simple warning, this is a Catholic bookstore, they are not going to help you commit blasphemy, "Qris Strong Mountain", OK?

Gifts Of The Spirit - What are they? Are they important to me and my church? Do I have a gift? How do I know? The Holy Spirit distributes the gifts of the Spirit as He sees fit (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). God does not want us to be ignorant of how He wants us to serve Him.
12 Now about the gifts of the Spirit,(A) brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed.(B) 2 You know that when you were pagans,(C) somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.(D) 3 Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says...
After being totally confused on the gifts of the Spirit I finally have some much needed clarification. Best book on the gifts and use of them I have ever received. A major must read if you are involved in any minstry what's so ever. If you really want to grow in this area, this is a must read.
All Christians have the Spirit and gifts for ministry. We must use our gifts to edify one another, for the church cannot function well without our gifts just as our bodies cannot function in their fullness unless every organ is working (1 Cor. 12:12-31). Coram Deo. Today's passage is an important text on the...
The scriptures mention many gifts of the Spirit. These gifts have been given to members of the true Church whenever it has been on the earth (see Mark 16:16-18).
No, the Holy Spirit distributes the gifts in such a way that every believer has at least one gift which is uniquely his. We must keep in mind that the spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit and must not be considered unimportant. The use of them is to exalt the Lord and build up the body of believers.
The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Corinthian church to correct misunderstandings about spiritual gifts. Nearly 2,000 years later, Christians still disagree about the gifts of the Spirit. In this message, Dr. Stanley discusses the book of I Corinthians and clarifies the common misunderstandings about...
