“Oaks Amusement Park, Oregon is one of the oldest operational amusememt park in the country. It's a nice park to visit with family. The park includes midway games, about two dozen rides that operate seasonally, a skating rink that is open all-year round , and also reserved picnic grounds. There's ample parking space although not free.”

“Due to a severe winter freeze, I had a pipe burst. Full on waterfall in my basement. Doug came out within a day and fixed the problem on a weekend! I called several plumbers who were days out even for an appointment or wanted to charge double for an emergency. The price was far less than I expected for a weekend appointment in an ice storm. 1st call came highly recommend and I am happy to recommend them to anyone!”

“Wow! Surprised I had not found this store prior to this weekend. A little bit of everything, even though it's labeled as a stationary store. Very reminiscent of several stores I used to visit in San Francisco that carried lots of import stationary writing drawing and other implements to further one's creative and artistic expressions. Imports from Japan and many other unique items from around the world. I found kits from Great Britain, papers from around the world, not to mention a fantastic supply of pens, pencil's, Marcus call, book binding materials, water marbling, paints, printing, felt work, and so so much more. It's rather impressive what they manage to fit under one roof and using all available space. Be warned upon entry you may feel overwhelmed however it does have a nice natural flow once you observe the paths of travel.”

When I walked in, the women at the register greeted me by name (even though this was my first time there), smiled, and handed me my order. With many other masseuses I’ve always had to guide them with pressure or where I’m most tense— that was not the case here. “Had to write this review because of a bad experience at this place. Normally a great spot, love the dancers here and they’re all so friendly. Good food, good drinks, mostly great staff. Tonight however, I witnessed one of the bouncers treating a dancer very very poorly and I found it upsetting because it seems like he was doing exactly the opposite of what he is being paid to do. I think his name is something like chad or chase but I’m not 100%, all I know is that the manner in which he spoke to his fellow employee was completely unacceptable and put a stain on an otherwise great experience. If that guy weren’t there I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. I hope something is done to address this issue because it’s certainly not safe for the girls and completely absurd behavior in front of customers.”

“My mother has lived in the independent living section (her own apartment) there for 2 years. What a wonderful community of residents and workers. There is also an assisted living section and a memory care section. There are tons of activities, a gym and personal trainer who has trained in senior exercise. the grounds back the woods and have a paved path that goes all around the property for walking, as well as garden areas for the residents. It is in a quiet and established neighborhood off Division St. in Portland. The food in the dining room is incredible--I would rank it in the top 5 places I have ever eaten. Lots of choices and beautiful presentation. My mom eats all her dinners there and some breakfasts and lunches, even though she has a small kitchen in her apartment. The staff is so friendly and caring. What a great place for my mom to retain her independence but have the supports in place for me to be comfortable with that.”

“Antique stores are not normally my bag, but my partner loves them, so I've been to several in various states. For stuff I would want, this is the best: vinyl records (tons of them at almost every vendor's area), cassette tapes, CDs, books, action figures. I ended up buying about 9 CDs, 3 tapes, and 2 LPs (one, a picture disc! the other a double-LP documenting a three-day 1979 music event in Havana, Cuba, featuring Weather Report, Irakere, Stephen Stills, Fania All-Stars, a smoking fusion of santería batá and jazz, CBS Jazz Allstars, Orquesta Aragon, Kris Kristofferson (!), Sara Gonzales, and "TRIO OF DOOM" which was Jaco, Tony Williams, and John McLaughlin melting your face off). The CDs I got include the Notwist, The Roots, Gil Scott-Heron, Consolidated, Bad Religion, PUBLIC ENEMY, Amon Tobin, and ANTHRAX. There was much more I wanted... A very interesting thing: Every stall that had tapes had _multiple_ albums by Icehouse. ... I've only ever heard one song by Icehouse and that was back in 1982. How did an average of four Icehouse tapes end up at so many antique stalls at the same time?!”
