“We recently got to work with Brendan again, this is our second time, and just like the first time he was absolutely amazing. His work is outstanding, and he’s an excellent communicator and teacher. He’s always willing to show us what he’s doing or teach us something even if it’s unrelated to the job at hand. This time he was doing the stairs, but on a lark we asked some insulation questions and the next day he brought over a bunch of insulation kit, showed us how to use it, installed it, and because he knows we’re very price conscious, he offered and then instructed us on exactly how to clean up and close up the walls so he could get back to the real project. We’ve learned a lot from him and visitors pretty much always comment about how cool his projects are. He thinks about things differently and is willing to break the mold to make a solution that really works for you. In our first project we asked him to build in a cat litter area with an outside vent and a super quiet bathroom fan; I can’t imagine many contractors that would do such a weird thing, but it has been a life changer and he never batted an eye. He just joined in on the brainstorming and made the idea even cooler by making it two story and adding a little spiral staircase! This is our second time with him, so I can say with certainty that we will be calling on him again for our next projects.”

The model requires that you purchase a bin of what’s available that week, but the bins come In several different sizes and configurations and you can specify vegetables you don’t like (e.g., beets) which will be replaced which something else when they come up. Another great thing about this service is that it’s very easy to cancel it and come back to it any time you want a bin. Just check a box and click save. I go through periods where I don’t use it at all and other times I get a small bin biweekly or weekly, depending on how into I am to cooking or am willing to improvise with what’s available that week. We find a small bin is perfect for two people.”

“My mother became a resident of Cherry Park Plaza (CPP) in 2015, she recently passed. There are many reasons my family gives accolades to CPP. There are outstanding people in all areas of care and service. From head chef, Robert and his kitchen staff and servers, who prepare fabulous and varied meals (my mother is very picky so this says a LOT about Robert), to Dean who drives residents to outings, appointments, and shopping. Rosie sweetly greeted us when entering the building to visit mom. Ryan is the BEST maintenance man. Housekeeping staff is very good and activities director, Anna, keeps residents’ interests in mind. I so appreciate the level of care, dignity and respect staff extends to residents. It creates an inclusive environment; I felt like I had family there that included staff and residents. Often a staff member played instruments or sang for residents. Needless to say, when my mother passed, I not only lost my mother, but also the friendships of residents and staff. If I lived closer to Troutdale I would drop in from time to time to visit. I hold many memories dearly in my heart.”
