Four year olds aren't always excited about riding and despite the mood in the moment, Maria ensures they have fun by doing other things around the stable to understand riding isn't just a free ticket to hop on a horse but requires discipline and maintenance. Best of all, she makes that fun, too. It's similarly been incredible to watch her switch from coaching my young daughter to coaching an older kid; switching her coaching-style based on the requirements of the age.
