“The park is a nice little postage stamp of a spot with structures for kids to play, basket ball hoops, and some tables for an in-the-neighborhood picnic.”

“We have been trying out local trails and Jenkins Estates is one we hadn’t tried yet. It was rainy, wet and beautiful. Lots of trails to get alone and wonderful colors in the trees. Easy parking. I recommend this place for getting some steps in beautiful local nature.”

“Grew up nearby. Tonya Harding lived in the apartments right next to this park during the whole Nancy Kerrigan knee-whacking business went down. My friend's mom lived their too so we knew exactly which apartment was Tonya's, so we'd go knock on her door and yell "Portland police department, serving a search warrant" and oh man did we hear the Tennessee shuffle go on in that apartment when we did. She must've been sh@#*ing her leotard...”

“I live fairly close by and have been wanting to walk through the park, but I've found it kind of scary. That changed today. The forest is lovely and well used by other members of my neighborhood. I'm looking forward to exploring the other trails.”

“Beautiful fall day to enjoy well marked trails, and we and the public very thoughtfully wore masks, kept our distance, as signs also reminded us, while walking or jogging. We saw several seniors enjoying the trail as well as younger families. We had a wonderful stretch of the legs on the Vine Maple Trail. So very fortunate to have such a large, well planned, wooded recreation area close to home!”

“There are tons of little side trails to explore beyond the actual loop. Nobody seems to be wearing masks, but at least it's pretty easy to hop off the trail and avoid contact when you do encounter those not wearing them. The trail isn't super busy, and there are so many beautiful large trees keeping the hot sun off of you.”

“I live about 50 yards from this park and it's been such a great spot for kids and animals alike to play. There is a large field that goes unused most of the winter months, but is great for throwing the ball around for the dog. Some have issue with off leash dogs, yet fail to realize that there are times when no one is at the park and throwing a ball around with a great trained dog has NEVER hurt anyone. If there are children or anyone present, sure, leash the dog up and allow others to approach. The play equipment is pretty limited (w/o swings) or anything that can be interacted with by parent and child simultaneously, yet it's a safe play area. Enjoy it. ”
